SOUTH FORK MAN FATALLY INJURED
James McDonald Meets Death While Visiting in Cleveland; Burial Thursday

SOUTH FORK, Nov. 27. – James McDonald, aged 61 years, of Maple street, was fatally injured Sunday evening when he fell down a flight of cellar steps at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben L. Bush, of Cleveland, O., at whose home he had been visiting for the past week. He died yesterday morning at a hospital in Cleveland, death being due to a severe fracture of the skull. The body arrived here at 10 o'clock this morning and was removed by George Bros. undertakers, to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Frederick of Maple street, with whom the deceased had resided. Mr. McDonald was an employee of the Stineman Coal Mining Company. His wife preceded him to the grave some years ago. Funeral services probably will be held Thursday morning in St. James Catholic Church, of which the deceased was a member. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Funeral of James McDonald
SOUTH FORK, Nov. 28. – Funeral services for James McDonald, who was fatally injured at the Bush home in Cleveland on Sunday, will be held at St. James' Catholic Church here at 10 o'clock Friday morning, as mass of requiem to be said by the pastor, the Rev. Father Howard, with burial in the church cemetery. The body was brought to this place yesterday. The deceased was born in England in February, 1861, coming to America about 1885. He located in Westmoreland County for a while, coming to South Fork about 25 years ago to work for the Stineman Coal Company. About six weeks ago he went to Cleveland to visit the Bush family. Mr. McDonald fell down a flight of stairs there on Sunday morning, fracturing his skull. His death occured on the following morning. The deceased's wife, Mrs. Isabella (Offord) McDonald, died here about four years ago. James McDonald was a brother of Dennis McDonald, of Conemaugh; John McDonald, and Mrs. Mary Herron, of England; Mrs. Edward Doyle, of this place, and Mrs. Frank Noel, of Irwin. The surviving sons and daughters are James, married and living here; John, Frank and Charles, single and at home in this place; Mary, wife of Charles Frederick; Tessie, wife of Daniel Mundy, and Elizabeth, wife of Ron Wicks, of South Fork; Margaret, wife of R.L. Bush, of Cleveland; Agnes, wife of Joseph Balitas, of Fostoria, O., and Emma, wife of Peter Lees, of Akron, O. The body is now at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick, of 221 Maple street, in this place.
