Retired from the Kansas City Southern Railroad after 38 yrs. of service as a fireman/engineer. Clarence served in the U S Army with the 740th Railway Operating Battalion from 1943- 1946 during WW 2. Clarence was the son of Elbert Lee and Normandy Marsh Abercrombie. He was married to Ruby Belle Smith daughter of James Samuel Smith and Ollie S Charles Smith. He married Lucille Agnes Ward on Dec. 31, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas
