Daughter of Charles L. Hoffman and Anna Blanche Rorer. Second wife of John H. Cartwright.

Obituary:
Mrs. Selma Cartwright died in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, June 16, 1937, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. after an illness of five years. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Cartwright was born in Petersburg on January 1, 1893, and was aged at the time of her death 44 years, five months and16 days. She was a daughter of Charles L. Hoffman and Blanche (Rohrer) Hoffman and a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer at Pittsburgh where she was a resident for twenty years. Survivors are her husband, Mr. John H. Cartwright; and daughter Anne Cartwright, both of Pittsburgh; her father, C.L. Hoffman, of Petersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Lang, of Petersburg, and Mrs. Paulina Smith of Huntingdon. Funeral services were held on Saturday at 2:30 o'clock p.m., at the home of Mrs. Cartwright's father, C.L. Hoffman, in Petersburg. The Rev. C.E. Diehl, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church officiated. Interment was made in the Cedar Grove cemetery. Temple's funeral service
