James Wayne Ames, age 61, died July 24, 1982 while at a family reunion in Dry Gulch, Duchesne County, of a heart attack.
Born on April 20, 1921 in Lyman, Utah to James Orvel and Luella Cook Ames. Married Stella Zbydniewski on March 10, 1944 in Long Island, New York. Member, LDS church. Former resident, Riverton, Utah. Veteran, World War Two, U.S. Nay. Farmer.
Rurvivors; Wife, Roosevelt; two daughters, Mrs. Clair (Florence) Buxton, Weston, Idaho; Mrs. Randy (Martha) Sather, Roosevelt; seven grandchildren; five brothers and four sisters, Vern, Floyd, Don, Bert, all of Roosevelt; George, Eva Ivie, Ella Workman, Holladay; Kay Nyberg, West Jordan.
Funeral, Wednesday, 11 a.m. Roosevelt West LDS Stake Center, 150 South Skyline Drive. Friends may call at the Olpin-Hullinger Mortuary, Tuesday, 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, Ioka Cemetery.
