A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Augustus Byers and Gladys Dorothy Dotson Byers. She had been employed at Artex and attended Christopher Road Baptist Church.
She is survived by her former husband, Edward Ervin Jr. of Shelby; daughters, Lynn Cogdell and husband, Stephen, of Kings Mountain and Lorie Rippy and husband, Toney, of Shelby; son, Tim Ervin and wife, Cara, of Shelby; sister, Donna Keeter and husband, Clyde, of the home; grandchildren, Stephen Cogdell, Kimberly Cogdell, Ashley Cogdell, Ed Cogdell, Jennifer Ervin, Brandon Heffner, Auston Heffner, Trevor Rippy, T.J. Ervin, Bryson Ervin and Melia Ervin; great-granddaughter, Kalie Moss; and special niece, Tammy Davis and husband, Terry.
Visitation: The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7:30 at Cleveland Funeral Services and other times at 303 Dixon Dairy Road, Kings Mountain.
Funeral: Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel
