Gerard Robert ''Bobby'' Winalski, 62, died (December 21, 2005) in Scottsdale, AZ. Bobby was born in Hartford. He was the son of the late Robert Winalski of Glastonbury and Patria Forsythe of Alexandria, VA. He was the grandson of the late John and Irene Winalski of Hartford and Donald and Elizabeth Gerarde of Bloomfield. Bobby graduated from the American School for the Deaf in 1962 and Gallaudet University in 1968. Bobby was active in sports, played on the University team and after college taught at the Model Secondary School for the Deaf in Maryland while also coaching the girl's basketball team. He resided in Scottsdale, AZ, where he coached the Phoenix Deaf Club for a short time and was active in the Deaf Community. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Winalski of Scottsdale, AZ, and daughter Lisetta Arrango of California, and aunt Pidge Bozzuto of Watertown and a uncle Don Gerarde of Amelia Island, FL and many cousins. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m! January 6, at the Henry Z. Fuqua Funeral Home in Bloomfield and burial at the Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery immediately thereafter. Donation may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 Flower Street, Phoenix AZ 85014.
