Gatlin, 76, of Colfax died at 10:19 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 1994, in Rapides General Hospital.
He was a native of Colfax, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and American Legion Post No. 8. He was a cotton farmer and cattleman and past president and member of the 19th Louisiana Levee District.
He was a past state committe man for FHA and had served on the Grant Parish Local Board No. 24, Selective Service Committee, and Grant Parish ASCS Committee. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division.
Survivors include his wife, Rita R Gatlin of Colfax, one son, Louis "Eddie" Gatlin of Colfax, one daughter, Sandra Hardy of Baton Rouge, and six grandchildren.
