PHEBA - James Kipling "J.K." Brewer, 85, died Jan. 14, 2007, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville. Services were today at 11 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point with the Rev. Ray Spence officiating. Burial followed in Hebron Cemetery in Pheba. Mr. Brewer was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Pheba to the late G. Marguerite Russell Brewer and Edgar Prentiss Brewer. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. He is survived by his sister, Martha E. "Libby" Harpole of Starkville; and brother, Prentice Brewer of Columbus. Pallbearers will be Shag, Steve, Wayne, Justin, Jarrod and Eddie Harpole, Kip Brewer, Garrett Blue and Chip Trammell. Memorials may be made to Hebron Christian School, 6230 Henryville Road, Pheba, MS 39755; or to the charity of choice.
