Elma was the daughter of William Wilson Buchanan and Alice C. Gilroy. She married William R. Cunningham.

"Mrs. Elma B. Cunningham, 77, Umatilla, died Sunday.
"A native of Sidell, Ill., she attended First Methodist Church and had resided in Umatilla 41 years. She was a member of the [Ocklawaha Chapter] Daughters of the American Revolution and the Woman's Club of Umatilla.
"Survivors include her husband, William R.; daughters, Mrs. Phil Wunsch, Lakeland and Mrs. J.W. Brooks, Eustis; sisters, Mrs. Lynn Burton, Paxton, Neb. and Mrs. Flora Buchanan, Hyannis, Neb.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
"Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the graveside in Lakeside Memory Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Owens officiating."
