💗 He was a carpanter all his life and a hard worker. He was a loving and careing husband, father and grandfather. He was known for telling jokes such as when new people would come over to his house he would ask them "Do you like chocolate cake?"and when they would say yes, he would say" sorry we dont have any " or "I do too. why dont you go to the store and get one for us." He loved building things and was very good at it. He also loved to play pool and also was in some of the pool tournaments. He was a good pool player. Earlyer in life he worked as a carpenter/painter for his brother in law. Then later he owned his own carpenter/painting business. Then in 1989 in shared his business with his friend and neighbor Kermit Gregory for a few years. When he retired he started working at Pockets Poolroom and later in 200? he helped out at Champions Billiards Poolroom. He loved working in his workshop building things and had a nice size vegetable garden every summer. He built the house his family and him lived in in 1978. He built a beautiful pond with fish and flowers in the yard for his wife. He enjoyed Red Skeleton shows, John Wayne and others. He loved spending time with his family and was always there when you need him. He had a lot of health problems through the years, but you hardly heard him complain. Cancer took him from us, he gave a good fight to stay here. But the Lord decided to take him home. We all miss him very much. He passed away from prostate and bone cancer that spread. Also a bad heart and kidney failure.

At Heavens Gate
For a special Dad

I'm missing you Dad
Your smile, Your laugh, Your touch
I'm missing you Dad
So very, very, much
I know this is not the end
So I will not say good bye
But will wait for at heavens gate
To greet me with your smile.

The Poem His Daughter Wrote And Read At His Memorial Service

~At Heavens Gate For A Special Dad~

Im missing you Dad
Your smile, Your laugh
Im missing you Dad
Each day so very much.

Every day was a blessing
God granted me with this
Loving arms of a Father
A daughter will surely miss

Words can not express
The sorrow that i feel
Knowing i wont see you
Makes it all seem so surreal

Memories are all i have now
To keep you close at heart
And the words you spoke softly
I love you with all of my heart

I know this is not the end Dad
God said theres more then this
For one day you will greet me
At heavens gate with a Fathers kiss.
