ERNEST MARTIN BOSHERS, 84, passed away May 15, 2008 at his home. He was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, but grew up in the Shelby Forest/Millington community. He was retired from American General Life Insurance Company. He was a veteran of World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart, serving in France and Italy. He was known for his great love of God and the Church, and for his family. He was a longtime member of Getwell Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; one daughter, Joyce Perry of Batesville, Mississippi; three sons, Chuck Boshers (Gerry) of Hernando, Mississippi, Mike Boshers of Memphis and Andy Boshers (Tammy) of Magnolia, Texas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, George Hannah; and two sisters, Colleen Hannah and Beni Bonucchi of Millington. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Interment in Memphis Memory Gardens. "He worked at the Kimberly-Clark Memphis Mill shortly after WWII. His job had something to do with rail cars there. My Dad told me of when he worked there as a kid (lying about his age). I worked at Kimberly Clark Memphis Mill during 1980-83 as an engineering co-op for Chuck Griffin and retain many fond memories of my experiences there."
