Virginia Fountain, 85, died on Sunday, June 30, 2013. She was born in Winston, GA, on April 28, 1928, the second youngest of six children, five girls and one boy, to parents Linnie and Joseph Fountain. Virginia is survived by her younger sister Ola O'Neal of Union City, GA, and many nieces and nephews, whom all loved her very much. Virginia worked in the accounting department at the Coca-Cola Company for 30 years which allowed her to do what she did best - help others. She made it possible for her younger sister to attend business school and for her parents to live in a home of their own. She not only provided financial support, she also provided moral support. She lived with Ola and her husband Bill O'Neal and their three children, Todd, Chet and Nanci, whom she loved and cared for as if they were her own. Virginia was an avid reader - of the newspaper, of biographies, and of mysteries. She loved watching baseball on TV, especially the Atlanta Braves. Known by all of them as "Jink", she will always be remembered as "the rock" of the family, always putting others first and always loved deeply by all. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Southwest Christian Care at swchristiancare.org, where Virginia spent her final days and received the most loving Christian care from the entire staff. Virginia's life will be celebrated with a small family gathering at a later date. The body was donated to the Emory University School of Medicine.
