| Birth: | Jan. 20, 1929 East Saint Louis St. Clair County Illinois, USA | | Death: | Oct. 18, 1951 |  The son of the late Nicholas Doyle and Mrs. Tillie Doyle (Seipp). He attended East St. Louis public schools and graduated from Collinsville Township High School in 1947. While still in school he was employed at the Miner's Theatre and by the Terminal Railroad at the time he was called to service January 1, 1951.
After training at Fort Leonard Wood for six months he was sent to Korea in June of 1951. On October 4, he wrote the last letter to his mother, saying he was again going into combat after a rest period from front-line duty. He was a member of Company A, 19TH Infantry Regiment.
Corporal Doyle, who was killed in action near Kumsong, Korea, was survived by his mother and one brother, Nicholas Doyle. His grandfather, Pete Seipp, 95, also survives.
