My husband brought tiger for me on the very day our other cat Merlin (A wonderful smokey grey) died at the vets.
We brought her from a garden centre/pet store, she was packed tight in a huge litter at about six weeks old.
When we got her home we found that she had brought with her hundreds of little unwanted friends with her, she was covered with fleas!
We thought she would be like our very loving Merlin before her but she was very different and so independant not very playful, didn't like lovings, was quite a loner, oh but was a keen killer!
She was picked on by the other neigbourhood cats because she was quite small, but she always wanted to be outside laying out in the sun or trying to catch birds etc. to bring home to us.
She would proudly leave us a present on the back door step and sit guarding it, crying for us until we came and looked at our little dead "gift".
When we moved house last year she turned into a different cat altogether.
She wanted to be with us all the time, loved getting lovings, would walk about the garden with us to see if she could help out and sit at our feet when we had a drink in the garden.
She loved sitting with our two Yorkies although she would kick them out of their beds if she wanted sole use of it.
Even our beloved Dude got on with her and they would kiss one another as they passed in the garden.
In our new home we are surrounded by neighbours who have lots of cats and she would play with them without getting picked on because of her size.
Sadly Tiger's new found freedom was very short lived just before Christmas last year she caught cat flu (possibly from one of her many "new" friends) and even though she valiantly fought it she was such a small cat she really hadn't got the body fat to overcome it.
We tried to hand feed her but she wouldn't have it and she died just a few days short of Christmas.
She rests at the very tip of out garden under a magnolia tree that we brought from our old house which my husband brought for our tenth anniversery.
This year I am planting a garden for her.
Sleep well little one.xxx
