Mary Tidwell, nicknamed "Mollie",is the daughter of Martha Hearrell Tidwell and William Baxter Tidwell. She married William Anderson Light on 22 Aug 1883 in Weatherford, TX. The 1910 US census shows William, Mary and family living in Parker County, Texas.

At that time Mary, had given birth to 11 children, 7 of them were living. They are: Jessie, Ralph, Charlie, Walter, Roy, Beulah, and George.

When her son Roy's wife died in childbirth, Mollie stepped in and raised granddaughter Margaret, and grandsons Sam and Dick Light at his home in Graford, Texas.

She is remembered as a kind and even tempered woman. Mollie lived at son Roy's home until approximately 1945 when she moved to Lone Camp, Texas to live with another son, Ralph Light and his family. She died there in 1947 at the age of 82.
