Louisa was the eldest child of August and Catherine Newmeier Kroening. She had 4 siblings: Joseph, John, George, and Mary Ellen. On June 28, 1903 Louisa, a Roman Catholic married William Frederick Pupp, a Lutheran, who was born in Germany. Together they had nine children: Albert, Bernard, Mary, William, George, Margaret, Catherine, Edward, and Anthony. They lived out their lives together on their farm in Holton Township, Marathon County, WI. Louisa is remembered as a quiet and loving person.
