West Point – James Eames Andersen, 25, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the University Hospital in Salt Lake City from complications of a double lung transplant and Cystic Fibrosis.
He was born January 30, 1988 in Ogden, Utah to Ralph Nelson and Carol Eames Andersen. James had a second birthday on July 19, 2012 when he received a life-saving double lung transplant at the University of Utah Medical Center.

James graduated from Clearfield High School in 2006 and attended Stevens-Henager College. He lived in West Point, Utah his entire life.

He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Lakeside YSA Ward and the West Point 10th Ward, where he was an Elder, Home Teacher, Ward Missionary and served in various other callings. He was honorably released from full time missionary service. He earned his Eagle Scout award from the Boys Scouts of America. James was a member of the DECA Club, Aranda's Olympic Tae-Kwando, ASA Fast Pitch Umpire, and the Elite Welders of Clearfield High School.

He was the third Make-A-Wish Ambassador to the Utah ATV Association Ride-For-Life. He won 2nd Place at the Utah State DECA Competition in Marketing Research and competed in DECA Nationals. He was a DECA Alumnus Member. He was an outstanding outdoorsman.

He is Survived by his parents, Ralph and Carol, Grandparents Ralph and Margaret Andersen, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Rex, Grandfather and Grandmother, Bill and Sarah Eames.
