Loretta Carol Barnes, 72, passed away Friday at her home in Graham. Funeral is scheduled, Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery in Abilene. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Loretta was born October 20, 1939 in Miami County, Kansas to the late Chester Paul Long and Thelma Junior McColly Long. She graduated from Abilene High School and was a resident of Abilene for years. Loretta moved to Graham in 2010 from Euless. She was a retired claims counselor for Texas Workforce Commission in Fort Worth. Loretta was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church where she was active in Agape Ministry and Texas Church Builders.

Survivors include; three daughters, Carol Renee Brandt and husband Scott of North Richland Hills, Kimberly Anne Barnes of Pilot Point, and Jennifer Kay Perkins and husband Willy of Graham; two sisters, Gail Barnes of Alief and Teresa Agnew of Abilene; brother, Phil Long of Richardson; eight grandchildren, Kaleb and Karson Hall, Colton and McKinley Brandt, Samuel Perkins, Amy Nolan, Dusty Perkins, and Lossen Perkins: six great grandchildren.

Loretta was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Joshua.

The Family will be at Morrison Funeral Home, Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. to greet friends.
