Noted Atlanta Minister for whom the former E. P. Johnson Elementary School in the Summerhill community was named. Pastor of Reed Street Baptist Church (now Paradise Baptist Church) in Atlanta from 1901-1929. Graduate of the first class from the former Atlanta University and earned the Doctor of Divinity Degree from Atlanta Baptist Seminary. For many years he served on the Theological Faculty of Morehouse College. As a minister he was active in city, state and national Christian organizations. Both Dr. Johnson and his wife Eliza worked quietly to edify the body of Christ. In 1929 Dr. Johnson was called from labor to reward.
