Native of Spartanburg; son of J.T. and Geneva Burke Blanken; husband of Rhonda Wiggins Blanken.

Graduate of Dorman High School in 1971; employed in Community Cash Stores Salad Kitchen; member of Arcadia Free Will Baptist Church; member of Arcadia Masonic Lodge 284; and Hejaz Temple.
