On January 20, 1899 Jannetje Hartog Texel married in Den Burg, the capital of the Island of Texel, at the age of 18 years the nine years older navy stoker/fireman (stoker marine) Cornelis du Porto, born on Texel too, son of Cornelis du Porto and Trijntje Gielus.
On August 11, 1899 Jannetje Hartog and the 28 years old stoker Cornelis du Porto had at their home at Gravenstraat in the navy harbor city of Den Helder, just south of the Island of Texel, Noord-Holland, son Cornelis Jacob du Porto.
On December 1, 1900 Jannetje Hartog and sailor (varensgezel) Cornelis du Porto had at their home at Rosestraat in Rotterdam, province Zuid-Holland son Jacob Cornelis du Porto. The declaration of Jacob Cornelius' birth at the city hall of Rotterdam was done by a 40 years old female obstetrician.
On September 13, 1902 Jannetje Duporto (22 years old) arrived with her sons Cornelis (3) and Jacob (1 years 6 months) on the S.S. Rijndam at the port of New York, Ellis Island. Their last residence place in the Netherlands was the island of Texel and their final destination was the city of Paterson, seat of Passaic County, New Jersey, where her husband Cornelius Duporto was living at 289 Huronstreet.
After 1906 Jannetje aka Jennie Hartog De Porto remarried the seven years older Adam Kalf, who was born in 1873 on the Island of Texel too.
Probably she had divorced, because her first husband Cornelius De Porto was in April 1940 still alive, 62 years old, widower and living in Highland, Lake County, Indiana with the family of his daughter Cornelia De Porto Kikkert (born on July 1, 1903 in Highland). Apparently Jannetje and Cornelius De Porto had divorced and both remarried.
In February 1920 Jennie (39 years old, born in Holland), her husband Adam Kalf (46, Holland, immigrated in 1890 [has to be: 1888], painter), her children Cornelis Deporto (20, Holland, farm laborer), Jacob Deporto (19, Holland, truck driver of coal), Cornelia Deporto (16, Indiana, housework for a private family) and Katie Deporto (14, Indiana) were living in a rented house in the town of Munster, North Township, Lake County, located in the extreme northwestern part of Indiana.
In June 1927 her husband, painter and decorator Adam Kaluf died at the age of 54 years of a ruptured aorta in his heart in Griffith, Lake County, Indiana.
In 1930 Jennie Kaluf (49, Holland, immigrated in 1902 [has to be: 1888], widow, housekeeper for a private family) was living at 3807 45th Avenue in Highland, Lake County, Indiana, on the farm of Max Schuringa (34, Holland, immigrated in 1912, widower, truck farmer), his children Jacob (9, Indiana), Beatrice (8, Indiana), Jennie (4) and his father Jacob Schuringa (74, Holland, immigrated in 1912, widower).
In October 1971 widow Jennie Kaluf died at the age of 91 years of an acute cardiac arrest at her home in Highland, Lake County, Indiana. She is buried in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing, Illinois next to her first husband Cornelius De Porto.
