Fred Borgens, age 87, died on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. His life began on April 6, 1922 in Sheboygan WI and has lived and worked several places throughout the Midwest until moving to Fulton in 1981.

He worked for Ingersol-Rand in Kalamazoo from 1951-1963 and retired from Areomotive in 1987.

Members of his family include his 2 daughters: Lois "Sandy" (Willard) Minnis, Sue (and the late Wayne Dale); 1 son, Steve (Pauline) Borgens; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He follows in death his wife, Lois in 1992 and his brother, James.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the South Fulton Cemetery with a lunch at the Wakeshma Community Church following the services.
