Albert Damme, 89, of Wayne died Wednesday evening, June 14, 1995 at the Wayne Care Centre. Services were held, Saturday, June 17 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. The Rev. Jack Williams officiated.

Albert Daniel Damme, the son of William and Albertina (Schutt) Damme, was born Dec. 13, 1905 on the family farm southeast of Wayne. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended school at Rural District #10 in Wayne County. He married Irma Doring on June 26, 1935 at Wayne. The couple farmed Albert's family farm where he lived all of his life until March of 1994 when the couple moved to Wayne. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and was a past church council member.

Survivors include his wife, Irma Damme of Wayne; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Carl Damme of Wayne; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by one infant son, seven brothers and seven sisters. Pallbearers were Darrel Zweygardt, Don Larson, Lawrence Heikes, Todd Claussen, Jack Sievers and Merlin Frahm. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne with the Schumacher Funeral Home in Wayne in charge of arrangements.
