Mrs. Carrie M. Byers, 83, formerly of Littlestown, died Thursday at 10:50 a.m. in the Warner Hospital, Gettysburg, where she had been a patient since Wednesday. The widow of Jesse S. Byers, who died in 1968, she had been residing with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Brown, Westminster, Md. R.D. 2. The daugher to the late Emanuel S. and Alice Dehoff Wallick, she was a lifelong member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Littlestown, the Adult Bible Class, and the United Methodist Women. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Luther Brown; three sons, Kenneth E. Byers, and Chester S. Byers, both of Littlestown; Francis E. Byers, Westminster, Md. R.D. 2; these brothers and sisters, Emmanuel Wallick, Gettysburg; Ralph Wallick, Hanover, Leroy Wallick, Baltimore, Md.; Aquilla Wallick, Hanover; Mrs. George Robinson, Allentown; Mrs. Harry O. Harner, Mrs. J. Edgar Yealy, and Mrs. Kathryn Straley, all of Littlestown. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Sams Creek Brethren Cemetery, Carroll County, Md. Pallbearers will be James Brown, Earle Black, Arthur Byers, Thomas Byers, Jesse Byers II, and Jack Byers.
