Born in Hartford son of the late Hyman and Gertrude Dunn. He lived in the Hartford/West Hartford area most of his life. He owned and operated Pierce Carpet Company in Hartford with his brother-in- law for many years and also was a real estate agent before retiring to Florida.
He leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Marshall and Riva Dunn of Windsor; a daughter, Carol Boston of California; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Ruth Harrison of Farmington and was predeceased by a sister, Sally Leveston and three brothers, Louis, Nathan, and Simon Dunn.
The funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 2, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor with Rabbi Alan Lefkowitz officiating. Burial will be private at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, Boynton Beach, FL. His family will receive friends Friday following the services at their home at 20 Mohawk Circle, Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to the Hebrew Home and Hospital, 1 Abrahms Blvd., West Hartford, 06117 or to Congregation Beth Ahm, 362 Palisado Avenue, Windsor, 06095.
