Dorf E. Garrison, whose home was near Garrison, in southern Roosevelt County, died at his home Friday afternoon. He was 89.
He was born July 23, 1886 in Marion county, ILL. He was a farmer, a member of the Baptist church and a resident of the county since 1907.
Garrison is survived by his wife Dale of the home; five sons, Earshal of Tulsa, Okla., Everett of Val Alstin, Texas, Virgil of Las Cruses, Glen and Harold, both of Rogers; and seven grandchildren.
He is also survived by three brothers, Wink, Paul, and John, all of Clovis; and one sister, Saletia Patton, also of Clovis.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Wheeler Starlight Chapel, Ernest Wheeler officiating and Crockett Slone officiating. Burial will be in Longs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bernon Watson, T. Z. Duncan, Herchell Gardner, Opal Jones, Rex Talley, H. H. Parker, Denver Askew and Bob Nunnally.
Honorary pallbearers are T. H. Carmichael, Charles Bennett, Everett Gardner, Mike Blakey, Fred Judah, and Orville Strickland.
