Graveside service for Iola E. Reinbold, 75, a lifetime Spokane-area resident, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Egypt (Washington) Cemetery with Strate Funeral Home of Davenport, Washington, in charge. Pastor Ralph D. Schultz will officiate. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Egypt.

Mrs. Reinbold was killed in her home, apparently on August 14. Her body was found August 23.

Born on the Peone Prairie, she graduated from Mead High School as valedictorian and received her teaching certificate from Cheney Normal School (now Eastern Washington University). She taught on Peone Prairie and then in the Egypt area north of Davenport.

After her marriage to John D. Reinbold in 1938, they farmed the Reinbold family farm in the Egypt area. She resumed classes at EWU in 1964, received her Bachelor of Arts degree in education in 1966, and then taught int he Creston School District until retiring in 1983.

Her husband died in 1984 and she stayed on the farm for a year before moving into Spokane.

Mrs. Reinbold was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Spokane, North Star Grange, Sandy Hill Garden Club, the Deaconess Medical Center Auxiliary, Corbin Senior Center and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

Survivors include two sons, Loren Reinbold of Davenport and Roger Reinbold of Valleyford, Washington; one daughter, Norene Phillipson of Spokane; two sisters, Ethel Murphy and Evelyn Johnson, both of Spokane; two brothers, Oliver Jack and Cecil Jack, both of Spokane; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
