52, 1615 Russell Ave., died at 7:04 AM Monday, June 9, 2008 in Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.
He was born November 13, 1955 in Rapid City, SD, the son of Charles E. and Lois F. Burger Johnson. He married Janet Johnson. He later married Gail Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Gail, his mother, Lois F. Johnson of Galesburg, a son, Rick (and Nicole) Johnson of Peoria, 3 grandchildren, Quenton, Olivia, and Ella, a brother, Steve (and Marcia) Johnson of Galesburg, and 2 sisters, Vickie (and Robbie) Showalter of Galesburg and Sandy Young of Gilson, IL. He was preceded in death by his father.
Larry was a foreman in the Track Department of the Galesburg Division of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood Maintenance of Way Local 798.
He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1974. He was an avid Pitch player.
Funeral will be 10 AM Friday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Kirk Kendall will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
