He married in Thompson, Geauga county, OH, Dec. 14, 1852, Mary Ann Broughton, daughter of Rev. Job and Ann (Mattock) Broughton. She was born in Canajoharie, NY, Oct. 4, 1829. He was a builder; res. Mentor, Lake county, OH. He was associated for a short time with the firm of Whelpley & Cleveland, merchants, at Kirtland, Lake county, OH.
