Clyde was born in Roundup, MT, and grew-up in the Bitterroot Valley, but had lived in Spokane for more than 40 years.
He was a retired sheet metal worker, and was an avid fisherman.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the Eagles, Elks and Moose lodges.
He was married to Joalys (McNaulty) Rice for 47 years. They had one daughter, Becky (Rice) Madden, and two granddaughters, Jessica (Madden) Knapp and Jennifer (Madden) Weiss.
