John Willie Fontenot, 75, of Pearland, Texas passed away on March 26, 2010. He was born to Henry and Olivia (Veillon) Fontenot in Ville Platte, Louisiana on August 10, 1934. He is a member of the Catholic faith. He served our country in the US Army. John retired from Entex Gas Company after 43 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Everett.
He is survived by his loving wife, Johanna of Pearland, Texas; daughter, Annette Morris and husband Charlie of Pearland, Texas; son, Alan Fontenot of Pearland, Texas; sister, Deana Stapleton and husband Shelly of The Woodland, Texas; brothers, Vincent Fontenot and his wife Jo of Basil, Louisiana, Roland Fontenot and wife Carolyn of Pine Prairie, Louisiana, and Cedrick Fontenot of Basil, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Linda Fontenot of Kingwood, Texas; grandchildren, Annamarie Morris, Travis Morris, Austin Fontenot and Skylar Fontenot all of Pearland, Texas.
The visitation will be Monday, March 29, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with the Rosary at 7:30 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546, (281) 992-7200.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd., Pearland, Texas 77581 with Msgr. Reginald R. Nesvadba officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Resurrection Cemetery, Pearland, Texas
