Born in 1877 Mississippi to Sylvester and Mary Catharine Satterfield Boyls, Alice and her family made their way to Texas in the 1890s. The family grew to include brother James and sisters Maggie, Alabama, Fannie, and Cornelia.
On the 20th of December 1894, Alice married Oscar A White, son of Louisa M Thomason White Cox and the late Hugh L White in Floresville, Texas. While living in Floresville, son Estrel was born in 1896, Ralph in 1898, Ulrich in 1900, and Alton in 1905, and daughter Ruth was born in 1909. The family relocated to Center Point in Kerr County, where she lived until her death in 1913 at the tender age of 36.
