Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Leo "Son" Trahan, Jr., age 76, who passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 8:35 p.m. in Carencro.
Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette. The Rev. Bill Melancon, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Altar Server will be Patrick Trahan.
Mr. Trahan was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. He was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro.
Survivors include two brothers, Calvin Trahan and his wife, Liz, and Harold Trahan and his wife, Mary, all of Carencro; and one sister, Helen Wettaw and her husband, Richard, of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Trahan, Sr. and the former, Elada Cormier, both natives of Carencro; and one sister, Beanna Trahan Savoie, a native of Carencro.
Pallbearers will be Russell Trahan, Daniel Trahan, Shane Trahan, Chris Menard, Michael Keown and Shannon Keown. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Trahan and Jonathan Trahan.
Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue was in charge of arrangements.
