This gentleman is the nephew of my Great Great Grandfather, Col Charles McDaniel. He is buried in Bowdon Ga. One of the photos attached to Wm. McDaniel's is indicated as possibly a reunion. It seems I've seen that photo before. In the caption it is questioned it being a veterans reunion, and Maj William McDaniel in the forefront. I can't positively say that is inaccurate, but I've heard that was CSA Cobb's Legion Co B, upon enlisting, with newly elected "Capt." Charles Addison McDaniel (Wm's Uncle) in the forefront.

"Col" C.A. McDaniel, was wounded in the battle of Perryville, Ky. (Shot in the thigh) It was recommended that he have his leg amputated. He died 10 days later Oct 19 1862
