Dear father, you are missed more than words could say...
Victor was born in Occupied Austria after the family was uprooted from their home in the Ukraine during WWII. Last child of Stepan and Maria Shevchenko Zakotiria, my father and his family made their way from Salzburg Austria to Venezuela - South America and eventually to East New York USA. He was a master draftsman for Lotepro Corporation in NYC Avenue of the Americas. After learning of his Cancer he moved to Rochester to be with his Mother and Sister where they cared for him during his illness. He lost his battle, which led to his passing on October 22 1983 at the age of 39.
He left 4 children behind:
