Grandpa told me once that his name was supposed to be Wayne Vyrl Sisco, but when they got his birth certificate so he could join the military it was misspelled as Wayne Mryl Sisco. Some time later I started doing genealogy and was not surprised by his name listed in the 1930 census as Sisco, Wayne V.
