Javine F. Lewis, 100, of Cochranville passed away quietly at his home on Saturday, April 13, 2013 after a long illness.
Javine was born in Telford, TN on March 4, 1913.
He is survived by his wife, Roma McCardell Lewis, whom he was married to for 63 years. He was the son of the late Stokes G. and Susie Masters Lewis.
Javine was a farmer in Penn Township all his life. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing.
In addition he survived by his son, Thomas F. Lewis and his wife, Linda of Cochranville; four grandchildren, Timothy Lewis and his wife, Shannon of Quarryville, Luann Gain and her husband, Matthew of Oxford, Erin Lewis of Cochranville, Joseph Lewis and his wife, Lisa of Landenberg; and four great-grandchildren, Nolan, Leah, Darby and Ryan.
He was the last remaining member of his family, predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Thursday, April 18, at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 86 Pine St. Oxford, where friends may call from 10-11:30 am.
Interment will be in Faggs Manor Cemetery, Cochranville.
