Accident Victim. He worked as a Christian youth counselor and volunteer at the Sound View Camp and Retreat Center located outside of Tacoma, Washington on the Key Peninsula. He spent his early years in the Ballard Community of Seattle, attending local neighborhood schools, and was a member of Cub Scout Troop 107, and Boy Scout Troop 100. He moved to Lynnwood, Washington in his mid teens, attending Edmonds Woodway High School. He was a member of Seattle's Woodland Park Presbyterian Church and was an avid outdoor enthusiast, active in camping, hiking, and cross country skiing. He was tragically killed at the age of 23, in a single car accident, while driving a delivery vehicle on the Sound View Camp church property. At the time of his death he was working as a volunteer at Sound View, as an adviser and instructor, of the camp's "food forest" gardening project which he helped establish. Max is survived by his mother Debra, grandmother Darlene, several aunts and uncles, and an extended family of friends. He is interred with his grandfather Richard.
