Dick was a Certified Public Accountant in Los Angeles for 45 years. For almost 30 years, he was in partnership with the late Edward Wachbrit. Dick had an incredible group of lifelong friends, many of whom he had known since grade school. At Hamilton High School (class of '53), he met his pals from the AZA, and they continued to meet regularly for the next 50+ years. At UCLA, where he obtained his BS in Accounting, he met another group of longtime friends as a member of Tau Delta Phi fraternity. He also made good friends during his stint as a radioman in the Navy aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard. In 1975, he received his Masters in Business Taxation from USC. Dick had many interests. He used his ham radio license to talk to people around the world, and for many years volunteered to work with the L.A. Sheriff's Department, and on the Hollywood Christmas Parade. His time was also spent with charitable and civic organizations as a member of the Vikings, Rotary Club, City of Hope, and others. Dick especially loved being a member of the Studio City Residents Association, where he was involved in the Studio City Farmers Market board. In business, He was a life member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the California Society of CPAs. Dick met Judy, the love of his life in 1954, and they married in 1958. They settled down and raised their family, spending the last 38 years in the family home in Studio City. Besides Judy, he is survived by his son Scott, and daughters Cindy and Stephanie. Also, grandchildren Justin, Hannah, and Jacob.
