Major League Baseball Player. He was a catcher, first baseman and rightfielder, making his debut with the Buffalo Bisons, on July 3, 1883. For six seasons he played with the Buffalo Bisons (1883), Chicago White Stockings (1887–89), Chicago Pirates (1890) and St. Louis Browns (1891). He concluded his career with record of 151 hits, 109 runs scored, 7 home runs, 83 runs batted in, .240 batting average and a .915 fielding percentage. He died at age 42 due to an illness.
