Eugene Hathorn, 65, of Bentonville died July 29, 1992, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Madison County, the son of Bill and Della Cook Hathorn. He was a farmer and a Baptist. He had lived in this area most of his life.

Survivors include his widow, Arletha Hathorn of Bentonville; one daughter, Debi Hathorn Brewer of Cane Hill; three brothers, J.B. Hathorn of Nob Hill and J.T. Hathorn and Gary Hathorn, both of Springdale; five sisters, Margaret Cochral, Ollie Jackson, and Peggy Jones, all of Springdale, Marie Bartlett of Conway and Maxine Delaney of Chowchilla, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Elm Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Robinson officiating. Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
