Mr. Brownell, owner and operator of the Suburban Press in Batavia, NY, was a son of the late Sydney Earl Brownell and Agnes Corey Brownell-Keeney.
He was a former member of the Stafford Fire Dept. and a printer at OTB in Batavia. He was a US Army veteran, having served in WW II.
Mr. Brownell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Buckner Brownell; a son Larry (Charlotte)Brownell; 2 daughters, Sandra (Thomas)Finn and Vicki (Alfred) Rosemark; 2 half-brothers, Gary (Winnie) Brownell and Gregory Brownell; 2 half-sisters, Sidney (Charles)Massaro and Beverly (David) Brust; 8 grandchilden and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was the half brother to the late Richard Brownell.
