Obituary: Christa Lavergne Ford was born in Densmore, Norton Co. Kansas, August 22, 1895; moved to Speed, KS. two years later with her parents where she lived and enjoyed her girlhood days.
She was united in marriage to Clifford B. Brown, August 01, 1918, at Phillipsburg, KS. They made their home in Logan, KS., where she lived until the time of her death. To this union was born two sons: Thomas Grant Brown, born and died January 26, 1919, and the infant son, which was born and died May 02, 1923 (5 days before his mother's death).
Lavergne's lovable and jolly disposition won for her the love and esteem of all who knew her. To know her was to love her.
Mrs Clifford B. Brown died May 07, 1923; aged 27 years, 8 months and 15 days.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Clifford B. Brown, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant G. Ford, and one sister, Leota, T.C. Brown and family and many other relatives and friends.
The deceased was a member of both the Delphian and Legion Auxiliary societies of Logan, and active in their work.
The funeral service was held from the home Wednesday evening at 4 o'clock, in charge of Rev. F.C. Adams of this city, following which the remains were interred in the Logan cemetery. During the funeral hour most of the business houses in Logan were closed, out of respect for the family and the deceased.
