'PIONEER WOMAN PASSES AWAY AT HOME IN ELWOOD"
Mrs. Martha Catherine Bright, 89, of 1805 South Sheridan Street, died at 3:30 o'clock this morning at her home. Death was due to complications.

Mrs. Bright was born August 18, 1848, in Nichols County, Kentucky, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Franklin Holler. She was united in marriage to (Winfield) Scott Bright in March of 1872 and who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Salvation Army.

Survivors are seven children, Mrs. Ira Smith, Elwood; Mrs. Riley Crull of near Aroma; Sam Bright of east of Elwood; Ambers Bright and Mrs. Fred Schrock,both of Elwood; Oliver Bright of Columbus; and Mrs. Riley Jones of Elwood and 62 grandchildren.

Last rites will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the South J Street church with Rev. Addie Scott in charge, assisted by Captain Cliff of Huntingdon.

The body will be removed from the Clark Chapel to the home tonight
