YAKIMA - Marge Peoples Armitage, 76, passed away on July 17, 2011 at Yakima Regional Hospital.

Marge was the second of four children born to Walter and Hazel Michaels in Rathdrum, Idaho on January 29, 1935. She grew up in Green Acres, WA and attended Central Valley High School in Spokane.

Marge married George Peoples on New Years Eve in 1952 and from this union came two daughters, Kathy Ferri and Teri Watkins. Marge and her family lived in the mountains of North Spokane where they built their home. The family enjoyed snowmobiling on their acreage and on New Years Eve to celebrate their anniversary they had snowmobiling parties. Marge in her younger years enjoyed camping, water skiing, bowling; she also enjoyed quilting, sewing and loved the Christmas season. They lived in many places including Moses Lake, Spokane and Plain, WA. George retired at age 50 and they became snow birds traveling to Arizona. George passed away in 1998.

In 2000 Marge moved to LaPine, OR for two years and then moved to Yakima to be closer to her children. She met our beloved Dean Armitage and they were married June 24, 2004. They traveled to Alaska, Reno and around Washington State. They loved playing Pinochle and many other card games.

Marge was preceded in death by her first husband, George, daughter Teri and sister, Lorraine.
