Lucille Virginia St. Clair Benedict May 23, 1930 — July 10, 2009 Lucille Virginia St. Clair Benedict, 79, of Duncan, died Friday, July 10, 2009, in Wilkins Nursing Center in Duncan.Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday with the Rev. Wayne Morrow and the Rev. Rick Neatherly officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.Lucille was born May 23, 1930, in Tishomingo, to John and Hattie VanHooser St. Clair. She was a Homemaker and was a member of Faith Temple Church of God.She is survived by five daughters: Peggy Anderson, Shelia Brumley, Janet Mendinghall and Kay Timmins, all of Duncan, and Barbara Courtney of Fort Worth; a son, Jackie E. Lappin of Durant; a sister, Ruby Stephens of Durant; a brother, Burl St. Clair of Durant; 22 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Marie, Lois, Lorene and Jerri; and a granddaughter, Whitney DeVault.Family will greet friends following the service in the First Christian Church "Gathering Hall" located at 10th and Walnut.Online condolences may be made at www.granthamfuneralhomes.com.
