He was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Edwards to Daniel and Julia (O'Culleton) Kelch. He married Jacqueline Kitlan on Aug. 8, 1953, in Peoria. She passed away April 21, 2002, in Kickapoo.
Also preceding him in death were two grandchildren, Jennifer Napple and Jason Kelch; eight brothers; and two sisters.
Bud is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Harry) Napple of Sparta, Tenn., and Barbara (Greg) Rodgers of Belleville; three sons, John (Joyce) Kelch of Conroe, Texas, Pat (Terry) Kelch of Brimfield and Mike (Janet) Kelch of East Peoria; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was a machinist for Bemis Bag Company, retiring in 1982.
Bud was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kickapoo and of the Kickapoo Sportsman Club.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Kickapoo.
