He was the son of James Thomas and Sarah Jane Rogers Ammons. Was first married to Georgia Grant who died in childbirth. We don't know when they married or when she died. She and the baby both died and are buried together beside him. He married Amy Shipp on March 5th 1909 in Nevada County, Arkansas. Their son Arlis was my grandfather.
