Band and played in the orchestra at the First Baptist Church in Columbia each Sunday. He was a member of the Methodist Church, attending Sunday School and Church every Sunday.
Richard is survived by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Allman, three sisters and one small brother, all of Lucedale, Mississippi. The remains were sent to Lucedale for burial Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Active pall bearers were fellow students of Richard from the Industrial School.
In his passing, the school loses one of its most splendid young men.
