Bettie was married to Henry R. Stewart on August 17 1872 in Putnam County, Tennessee by Henry's brother Rev. Jacob Stewart.
Bettie and Henry moved to Texas in the 1880's and then to
Oklahoma in the early 1900's. They had eight children:
Mary Jane Stewart Baldwin, David Horson Stewart, Joseph R.
Stewart, George Thomas Stewart, Henry P. Stewart, Evert Walter Stewart, Charles Vester Stewart and Mattie A
Stewart Hopper.
Bettie died 14, Feb. 1939 at Mountain Park, Oklahoma.

"Feb. 23, 1939-Bettie Medlin Stewart was born in 1857 and died February 14, 1939. In 1872, she was married to Henry R. Stewart. She was born and raised in Texas and came to Oklahoma in 1901, and settled in northeast of Mountain Park. Her husband and three sons and one daughter preceded her in death. She was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Baldwin of Mountain Park and three sons, Charles and Tom of Gilbert, Arizona and Evert of Roswell, New Mexico. Funeral services were held in the Baptist church of Mountain Park. Burial was made in the Mountain Park cemetery with Strange funeral home of Snyder in charge of arrangements."
